American Chopsuey – April 1st, 2007
INGREDIENTS
Fried noodles – 1 cup
Boiled noodles – 1 cup
Cauliflower – 100 gms
Capsicum – 2
Carrot – 2
Celery – 2 stalks
Spring onions – 4 -5
Garlic – 4 flakes
Onions – 2
Ajinamoto – tsp
Ingredients for sauce
Vinegar – 100 ml
Sugar – 100 grams
Chili sauce – 2 tsp
Maida – 1 tbsp
Water – 200 ml
Soya sauce – tbsp
Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp
Method
Cut the vegetables into 1 inch square, thin and keep it aside. Crush the garlic and leave it aside. Now, in order to prepare the sauce, put all the above ingredients under the section sauce, in a shallow pan.
Now, place the pan in the burner and stir well and cook until the sauce becomes thick. Now remove it from the burner and keep it aside. Now, heat four tbsp oil in a khadai, and put the crushed garlic and when the garlic turns light brown, add all the vegetables in the ingredients section. Cook over a high flame for 3- 4 minutes. Add the ajinamoto to it. Mix well, and then add the sauce, chili sauce, boiled noodles one after another. Stir well and remove from the flame. The Chopsuey is ready. Now, as the fried noodles is already cooked, just mix half of the fried noodles to the Chopsuey and stir well. Sprinkle the rest of the fried noodles over this prepared Chopsuey.
