SINDA organises its Project Give fundraiser each year to support the educational and financial needs of Singaporean Indian students. As part of this, SINDA hosted a ceremony to reaffirm the partnership between SINDA and its network of community partners, donors and volunteers. Their combined efforts are integral to SINDA’s continued mission to uplift the Indian community.

This year Project Give took place on Saturday, 5th October 2019 at the Indian Heritage Centre.

Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Education and President, SINDA graced the event and witnessed the contributions from community partners as well as to kick-off the distribution of Celebrate! Festive Gift Vouchers. These vouchers are part of 750 vouchers distributed to low-income families during Deepavali.

SINDA’s Project Give is being organised for the 19th year and serves as a meaningful platform for members to contribute to the less-advantaged in the community, during the festive season.

Ms Indranee Rajah said that, ‘this is special, as this is coming together of the Indian community and it shows the solidarity and strength of the Indian community in Singapore.   She was in praise of many donors, and in particular the donation of a security guard who saved and contributed a sum during his 80th birthday to SINDA’s Project Give. She further said. every contribution makes a difference and benefits people.
